Every material decision made before this gate is really a preference. It becomes a decision only once it has a confirmed price, a confirmed lead time, and a confirmed source — because a beautiful material that can't arrive on time isn't a specification. It's a placeholder wearing a price tag nobody has checked.

This is also the first gate where a decision starts its life in NATA LAB, not just on a drawing.

Every specified finish is checked against real cost, lead time, and supplier confirmation before it is approved — and every critical finish is proven at full scale in NATA LAB before it is allowed to reach a wall. Not discovered at the shop, under pressure, three weeks before handover.

The seventh gate closes the decision record. It does not close the project. What was decided still has to be built exactly as approved — tested first, in NATA LAB's own material lab, before it ever reaches a wall.
